Well, this is the Kanotix website in a new outfit - hope you like it. The new design will graphically communicate the substantial advantages of Kanotix (technicaly mature, stable, multifunctional, modern, excellent hardware recognition, helpful community). But also behind the scenes the website is now better motorized ...
1) The existing contents were completely converted to PostNuke. That is a freely distributable Community and Content Management System (CMS) written in PHP and licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
The pages are now created directly in the browser and currently maintained by several people with different rights.
2) All important areas (Messages, Forum, Wiki, Gallery,...) can now be accessed with one login, where we have transfered your data from the forum - so you can go right ahead!
3) We are constantly translating many areas to different languages. By the way, we still urgently need your help here! So, if you think your language should be better represented here, please contact us.
If you would like to use the new pages with the old design - no problem. In your profile just switch to "xExtraLight", and there is your illustrious Kanotix-Fish.
